My Favorite Lessons

In a well-rounded education, Earth and Life Science (EAPP) and Personal Development (PerDev) are essential subjects. Together, these subjects provide us with valuable knowledge and skills that are applicable to real-life situations. They foster a deeper understanding of the world and contribute to our development.

1.) EARTH AND LIFE SCIENCE - UNIVERSE AND ITS ORIGINS

The presentation "Earth and Life Science - Universe and its Origins" is truly captivating as it offers a comprehensive overview of the universe and its origins. It delves into various aspects, including the definition of the universe, the study of celestial objects and phenomena known as Astronomy, and the study of the universe's evolution and large-scale properties referred to as Cosmology. One of the highlights is the exploration of different theories explaining the origins of the universe, such as the famous Big Bang Theory, the Steady State Theory, and the Inflationary Theory, among others.

2.) EAPP -INTRODUCTION TO ENGLISH FOR ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL PURPOSES

I found the Lesson “Introduction to English for Academic and. Professional Purposes" to be quite engaging. Its focus on English for Academic and Professional Purposes was tailored to my interests, particularly as it sought to define academic writing and distinguish it from other forms of writing. The presentation's interactive nature, such as posing questions about previous writing experiences, made it more personal and relatable. I appreciated the clear breakdown of academic writing's features, including its formality, objectivity, and technical aspects.

3.)PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT -MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

From the lesson-Mental Health and Well-being" I found it to be an enlightening and invaluable resource. The focus on mental health and well-being, especially during middle and late adolescence, resonated with me due to its importance in personal development. I appreciated how the presentation encouraged self-awareness, prompting me to identify my own vulnerabilities and create a plan to stay mentally healthy. The facts and figures provided, such as the prevalence of anxiety and depression, were eye-opening and emphasized the reality of these issues.

MY IDEAL WEBSITE LOOK

The Frans Hals Museum website offers a captivating experience for art enthusiasts and history lovers alike. One of the reasons why I  find this website appealing is its dedication to showcasing the works of female artists. By highlighting the contributions of four prominent Dutch female artists, the website brings attention to a traditionally underrepresented group in the art world. Additionally, the website's emphasis on both contemporary and historic artists adds a unique and dynamic touch to the overall collection. It features commissioned artworks specifically created for the exhibition, allowing visitors to explore a blend of old and new artistic styles.
